Sustainable Development Introduction

Focus on Circular Economy

MAINTENANT Sustaining Now was invited to participate to EBS Paris' Induction Week. Our mission was to present Sustainable Development in an engaging and creative way, fostering interaction between students. It was also the opportunity to challenge them with our bilingual conference, mixing an English on-screen presentation with explanations and discussion in French.

Based on our innovative educational approach, Earth System Science Education™, we discussed some geophysics criteria required to sustain life, apprehending the unique features of planet Earth.

After exploring the case of the Aral Sea, we explained how Sustainable Development brings long-lasting mitigations and solutions with a focus on Circular Economy and Social Responsibility norm ISO 26000.

As always, we used the United Nations Sustainable Development Global Goals as a teaching framework.

We are delighted by the students high level of interest. Indeed 97% of the students declared they learnt new concepts while 43% wants to know more. We were amazed by the pertinence of their questions and observations. More to follow soon…
