Tewfik Guerroudj is a teacher, a writer and most of all an architect and a town planner whose projects have been carried out in France and Algeria, both countries where he is from.

He is a specialist in planning and construction law in Algeria where he worked for the Ministry of Urban Planning as the Director of Urbanism and Architecture. He has directed numerous projects for local authorities in France. He recently worked in Paris on a proposition for the sustainable rehabilitation of ancient condominiums. He has also managed the urban planning agency L’artisan urbaniste.

Tewfik has taught, among others, the methodology and technical conduct of urban planning documentation, and the theories of architecture and urbanism. He is particularly interested in the challenges of architectural heritage.
