Shortlisted for prestigious environmental award

Future Sustainability Leader

Amell Amatino, founder of sustainability social enterprise MAINTENTANT, has been shortlisted for a prestigious IEMA Sustainability Impact Award. The winners of the awards, which recognise people and businesses that are making a difference in helping create sustainable societies, will be announced in September.

Amell Amatino, from Bromley, is a finalist in the Future Sustainability Leader category in recognition of her achievements with start-up company MAINTENANT, which creates educational resources and games, as well as providing workshops and training on sustainability to higher education and businesses. Its flagship products, DIVERSITY DECK® and 7 SPHERES®, have also been nominated in the international Imagination Gaming Family & Education Games awards, which will also be announced later in the year.

MAINTENANT Sustaining Now was established in 2017 when Amell Amatino felt compelled to take action to educate the public on the importance of sustainability in the face of the climate change crisis. Initially working with schools, the company is now producing games and other resources to inform children and their families on the natural world and human impact on it.
